Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the Web VideoDownloader Chrome extension ("Extension") and the associated website at download-page-green.vercel.app ("Website"). By installing the Extension or using the Website, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing, accessing, or using the Extension or Website, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please uninstall the Extension and discontinue use of the Website.

2. Description of Service

Web VideoDownloader is a free Chrome browser extension that:

Detects video and audio files loading on web pages by monitoring network response headers
Displays detected media files in a popup interface
Provides inline media preview functionality
Enables downloading of detected media files, including HLS/M3U8 adaptive streams

The Website provides a download processing interface used by the Extension, along with information about the Extension.

3. User Responsibilities

You agree to use the Extension and Website only for lawful purposes. Specifically, you are responsible for:

Copyright compliance: Ensuring that any content you download is either freely available, licensed for download, or that you have the right holder's permission to download it
Respecting website policies: Following the terms of service of the websites you visit and download content from
Legal compliance: Complying with all applicable local, national, and international laws and regulations regarding content downloading and copyright

4. Prohibited Uses

You may not use the Extension or Website to:

Download copyrighted content without proper authorization or permission from the rights holder
Circumvent digital rights management (DRM) or any content protection mechanisms
Download content from platforms whose terms of service prohibit downloading, including but not limited to YouTube, Netflix, Disney+, Amazon Prime Video, Hulu, HBO Max, Apple TV+, Spotify, Twitch, Crunchyroll, Paramount+, and Peacock
Redistribute, sell, sublicense, or commercially exploit downloaded content without authorization
Use the Extension to facilitate piracy, unauthorized distribution, or infringement of intellectual property rights
Engage in any activity that violates applicable local, national, or international laws and regulations

The Extension automatically blocks access to major DRM-protected streaming platforms to help ensure compliance. However, users remain solely responsible for ensuring their use complies with all applicable laws.

5. Intellectual Property

The Extension, Website, and all associated code, designs, and documentation are the intellectual property of the developer. You may use the Extension and Website as provided, but you may not:

Copy, modify, or distribute the Extension's source code for commercial purposes
Reverse-engineer the Extension beyond what is permitted by applicable law
Use the Extension's name, logo, or branding without written permission

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Extension and Website are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that:

The Extension will function uninterrupted or error-free
The Extension will be compatible with all websites or media formats
Downloads will always complete successfully
The Extension will detect all media files on every web page

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall the developer be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption, arising out of or related to your use of the Extension or Website.

The developer is not responsible for any legal consequences resulting from users downloading copyrighted or protected content without authorization.

8. Third-Party Content

The Extension facilitates downloading of media content hosted on third-party websites. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites or services.

9. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Extension or Website after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

10. Modifications to the Extension

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Extension or any part of it at any time without notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuance of the Extension.
